Food Network Premiers its New Show:

Heat Seekers
For chefs Aarón Sanchez and Roger Mooking, Heat Seekers is a tongue-testing odyssey to discover the most deliciously spicy food across the country — and to figure out why these dishes are so fun to eat. From Los Angeles and Santa Fe to Miami and New Orleans, the dynamic duo discovers the secrets of spicy dishes of all kinds — from Mexican and Korean to Indian, Creole and Cajun cuisine — and then subjects themselves to a test of who can handle the heat. Indulging in spicy ceviche, flaming-hot cocktails and mind blowing hot sauces and foods Roger and Aarón put their taste buds to the test, and the results are either tears of laughter or tears of pain — usually both.
The duo debut their show on tongue-torching food in The Big Easy, with stops for hot sausage Po' boys, kickin' jambalaya and Cajun-style crawfish. The spicy quest ends at a true hotspot in the French Quarter, World Famous N'awlins Cafe and Spice Emporium where the boys battle it out to see who can finish a bowl of legendary Creole gumbo laced with XXXX Voodoo sauce! Got milk?
The premier of the series will air on Sunday July 17 at 9:00 PM Central time, with repeats already slated for July 18 at midnight Central time, and August 19 at 9:00 PM Central time!
The show was taped over a two day period in April, where patrons of the Oldest Market in the Country, got to spend time with the Food Network Celebrities and of course local celebs and owners of World Famous N'awlins Cafe and Spice Emporiums' Chef Arthur "Don Creole" Humphrey and Chef Shawnette "Tambourine Green" Sylvester-Humphrey. Other local celebs on hand for the taping were Dr. John eating his favorite, Cowan Stew, N O Saints linebacker Danny Clark, and Juggie McMillian Q93 DJ and former star of Phat Phat and All That, to name a few.
