This is a picture of myself and Archbishop Hannan taken in 1978 at the 8th grade confirmation for the students of Visitation of Our Lady Catholic School. I will always remember how personable and truly people-oriented the Archbishop was. To a shy, young girl who wasn't the most adept at social skills, he went out of his way to be gracious and kind. That awkward girl has long since grown up into a (thankfully) more confident woman, but the girl inside will never forget the day she was found special enough to garner the time of an Archbishop. Archbishop Hanaan, rest in peace, and thank you from the bottom of my heart.
