Happy 236th Birthday to US Marine Corps

On Thursday, Nov. 10, the law firm of Adams and Reese celebrated the 236th Birthday of the United States Marine Corps with client and retired Marine Corps Maj. Gen. David Mize. It is customary at Marine Corps birthday celebrations worldwide, every year on Nov. 10, to cut a traditional cake in celebration of the birth of the Corps. It serves as an annual renewal of each Marine’s commitment to the Corps and the Corps’ commitment to defending the nation’s interests across the globe.

Adams and Reese attorney Marshall Hevron (pictured left), who is a former reservist in the United States Marine Corps, cuts the cake. The New Orleans Federal Alliance (NOFA) is a client of Adams and Reese. Mize (pictured right) is the President/CEO of NOFA. NOFA is in charge of the Federal City Project in Algiers, which is a redevelopment of the Naval Support Activity, West Bank. Part of the redevelopment is the construction of the Marine Corps Support Facility, a 411,000-square-foot facility, on a 29 acre secure compound overlooking Opelousas and Hendee streets. The facility will be of service to approximately 1,900 Marines and civilian employees.
