My mother, Mary Oubre of Gonzales, my sister and niece, Maria and Allison Treece of Port Vincent and myself, Joan LeBouef of Garyville, enjoyed Mardis Gras Day 2012 in Metairie which I have not done in about 20 years....A "special" memory for me...you see...I am now cancer-free! Such a great day with my 76 yr old mother....who by the way...outlasted me ! I was the first to sit while she was in the crowd yelling " Throw me something, Mista ! "
