Bob was born and raised with Brandon, a 2ndLt US Marine Corp. His owner is unable to care for him in the future due to his military career. Right now Bob is being fostered at my house in Metairie La through Dogs on Depolyment. He is unable to stay due to a family emergency that I will have to leave town for on May 28/29th
Bob's grandparent can't take him because of a breed restriction at their condo that they were unaware of at the time the lease was signed. They did try to work something out with but was told if Bob was found at their home they would be evicted, lose all security deposits, and have an additional $2000 fine.
We are trying to help Bob find the furever family he deserves. All the Rat Terrier Rescue groups we have contacted are full and unable to help and we are running out of time and resources.
Bob is a full bred rat terrier. He is 11 years old, neutered, up to date on shot and in good health. Bob is a typical terrier. He is very sweet and loving however, he is an old man and has a lot of life still. Bob has had his first ever Mardi Gras but everthing was so new he didn't get to enjoy it too much so he's looking forward to next year. Bob is a inside dog and is house trained and would do well in an apartment. Bob likes to lay right beside your lap and loves to cuddle under a nice warm blankie when it's chillie out. Bob is a great bed warmer too. He likes to lay somewhere between your feet and knees. The perfect day for Bob would be a fishing trip (on a boat) or 4 wheeling with a great big box of Popeyes fried chicken, spicy of course. He don't like to go swimming or get his toes wet but realizes baths are needed and is ok with them. Bob politly request that his new home have no other animals but him. Older children are ok, they have to understand Bob don't really play any more and don't care to be held and pulled at but he will love to sit with them on a nice comfy sofa and share some Popeye's and a movie. Bob can get protective with children so supervision is a must.
If you would like to meet Bob or know some is able to help please contact me.
