Well I am a Natural N'Awlins Born & Raised Native that has a family well known in New Orleans. Our Sports family ancestors on the Snow family side( Hassman Snow), was the lead pitcher in 1917 for the New Orleans Pelicans Baseball Team and was a part time Street Car Conductor on Canal Street in the same year.My adorable charming gifted Mother ( Blanche T. Schaff, Snow),was New Orleans Beauty Queen in 1951 and she shared her talents of musical with her voice gifts since 1933. She was and still is very well known of her charm, beauty and her gifts from the heart,while growing up in New Orleans as a child. She was on the American Count Down in the 50's and she still holds all of her awards she's received,with many valuable news letters,write ups,fans and 78 ole recorded records. At 76 years of age now, she still continues to use and share her voice talents and her music plays daily on radio stations,even in other countries.Four of my 1st. cousins on the (Snow) side of our family has been playing Jazz, Blues,and sharing their musical talents in the French Quarter @ the Market Place or in the zones/out of New Orleans, since I was a young child, that still play as of today.
My dad was a Veterans Umpire for NOLA for over 48 years and he is well known behind the plates,most know him as "Hank". He also marched with Pete Fountain & the Half Past Marching Club since it was developed and was a top notch Salesman for B.F.Goodrich Tires Company on corner of Julia & Carrondelt St. My great, great aunt Henrietta Lumetta, painted the Half Pass Marching Club Plaques, that sits among all others around the Mardi Grass Fountain that still stands on the Lake Front in New Orleans. I am just one out of (4) children that grew up in the surrounding areas of New Orleans,La., where on my mothers side of her (Snow) family made and makes history since 1501. My great grandmother sang her music in Bordeaux France in 1830,then she came and landed in New Orleans in 1850. Where she shared her talented voice of music in the 1st. New Orleans French Opera House that is in New Orleans. My Grandfather( Louis Valentine I ), worked for Falstaff Beer company as a maintance man in the 50's-60', then his other part time employment was for City Park. As a Specialist Plant & Tree and he maintained all of the Gardens through out the park and designed the Clock and the City Park green hedges which are still planted on City Park Ave.
Either they are into Sports, Music ,Planting or Beer, I do have/hold memories to a Great City where there is No other in the USA or Worldwide. I am a musical artist on playing the harmonica, known in our family and to others as the "bleauz cuz", I own a fishing pole and "YES" I have a license an a boat. Also I am a owner of a Established 26 year & growing.Business that contains one of most worlds finest arts,craft,clothing's,etc., in Sewing Machines,Sewing Needs or Aids that's Authorized and well known.We are Post Katrina,Rita citizens who never left our memories.We just moved and took them to higher grounds 12 years ago to the Norhtshore and we are still here for you.We are open( M-F 10 am-6 pm weekly,Sat. 11 am - 2pm).We did not receive fema or insurance funds,nor did our families hit oil or the lotto.We opened our New location store front that has a display showroom of machines,cabinets,threads,software & more in Mandeville,La.70471,on money that we barrowed from our banks that holds faith,durable products and prompt services.Our customers/new consumers are valuable and most can say we are highly recommended, because of the good stock we come from, the one only work that we do and where we are from "New Orleans".The services we provide & offer to each residential or commercial customer, in both parishes( Nothshore, Southshore), while I continue to believe on who I am.
I am 50 years of age that are a long of awaiting and Supporting: Our Family History Status in New Orleans,the food,fun,entertainment,SAINTS, LSU,TULANE, the FANS & Sports News Castors & Crew.
