Dear Drew

Dear Drew,

First of all I want to thank you for coming to my city - my first true love - and bringing with you faith, hope, commitment and leadership. You are truly one of the best leaders this city has ever known. You came here unsure (as we all were at that time) and you embraced our community. It is your genuine spirit that has helped to remind us just how resilient we truly are. You brought hope and faith back to the people. You are amazing! We are the same age, but you have inspired me to inspire others. I am inspired by your strength and leadership. You lead a team (that is more than a team to us, of course, it's family) on to a field every Sunday - or Monday ;-) - and say Let's do this not just for ourselves, but for the people, the city of New Orleans, the Who Dat Nation. This team has brought our city back together and I say we have already won. Won so much that others can never take away. We are dancing in the streets again, hugging those we don't even know again, asking people walking by: where y'at? how's ya mom an nem? and Who Dat?...again. This city feels like one big family, if not again, then finally. Whether we leave that stadium falling to our knees and crying with joy or shuffling our feet with that smirk still on our face from last game, we've already overcome! What is meant to be WILL BE. I never thought football would mean so much to me. Thank you and the rest of the guys. So for NOLA and all that it means to US, I say to you: Go out there and do what you do, FINISH STRONG and bring us back home so we can do it all over again next year!
Bless You Boys,

Allyson WHO DAT Lipari
