I'm a medical student at Tulane and I was working at University Hospital this early this morning. I got there before the rain. At some point, the hospital made an announcement over the loud speaker warning us to check our cars. I didn't think anything of it at the time. And then...Oh Boy!!! The above shot is the scene that greeted me when I looked out from the eighth floor window @ 9:45a. My car is the silver hatchback on the Superdome side of S. Johnson St, just back from the stop sign at Perdido. I spent this beautiful Sunday drying out my car. I think all will be well as it drying with fans overnight.
