PAULA DEEN ROCKS WITH CREOLE GOURMET

New Orleans native, Claudia Signal-Leon, "The Creole Gourmet", performed live onstage with Paula Deen at the First Annual Real Women of Philadelphia LIVE EVENT at the Lucas Theatre in Savannah, Georgia on June 30, 2010. The event was sponsored by Kraft Corporation, starred Paula Deen, and was produced by Eqal Inc. of Hollywood, California. Deen recently partnered with Kraft in a new cream cheese campaign that is powered by a social entertainment network community comprised of some 5,000 women nationwide, known as "The Real Women of Philadelphia."

While Signal-Leon was not chosen as one of the four finalists, her recipe for "Beignets Bienville" received honors from Deen, and she was cast by Eqal Inc to write the lyrics, choreograph the dance, and to lead the group performance of "Philly Ladies" onstage with Deen. Signal-Leon taught the routine to the dance troop and other members of the RWOP community via a series of instructional videos created by Signal-Leon and posted to the Real Women of Philadelphia website.

"I was hoping that more ladies from New Orleans would participate in "Real Women", stated Signal-Leon. "It is a great opportunity, and we all know that some of the best food comes from New Orleans. Food is inherent to our culture, so I hope that many women in New Orleans will join the community and participate in the next phase."

Phase 2 of The Real Women of Philadelphia will begin on July 19, and Kraft will be giving away $500 per day for the best cream cheese recipe. For more details, visit www.pauladeen.com or www.realwomenofphiladelphia.com.
