NEW ORLEANS — Michelle provides weather forecasts for southeastern Louisiana and southern Mississippi on the Eyewitness News at Noon Wednesday through Friday and the morning newscasts on the weekends.
Her passion for weather came at an early age of 7. She grew up in Brooklyn, NY where she experienced fierce snowstorms and blazing hot summers, but thunderstorms sparked her interest.
She holds a B.S. in Meteorology from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, with an emphasis in research meteorology and minoring in physics.
Michelle worked at a few stations before making her way to "The Big Easy." She has worked in Great Falls, Montana early in her career and Richmond, Virginia.
She has a passion for STEM education and shares that in classrooms when she visits schools across the area to talk about science and weather.
When Michelle is not forecasting, she is either roller skating, painting or making candles. But most of the time she’s trying to keep up with her husband and 4-year-old son.
