Seán Brennan understands the value of a compelling story. Starting his career in New Orleans, he has built his foundation for multimedia reporting through researching, writing, editing and curating the news as a Digital Content Producer at WWL-TV.
Whether it’s live coverage of breaking news, multi-platform updates on tropical storms and the New Orleans Saints, daily crime stories or data-based reports about the issues facing Southeast Louisiana, Seán’s work is published on WWLTV.com and syndicated across its partner news sites around the country every week.
Starting as an investigative researcher for WWL-TV’s special Down the Drain report in September 2017, Seán learned the fundamentals of the journalistic process from some of the best investigative reporters in the country, as they shined a spotlight on the systemic issues facing New Orleans’ integral drainage system in the 21st Century.
After graduating from Loyola University New Orleans in 2018, Seán joined WWL-TV’s market-leading digital team, where he continues to learn from the best in the trade as the news landscape shifts further online.
Originally from the beautiful beach town of Belmar, New Jersey (Yes, the Jersey Shore), Seán traded pizza and pork roll for po-boys and pralines in New Orleans, following his older brother and sister to the historic city for college and appreciating its incomparable culture alongside them.
His friends back home say Seán is a fake New York Giants fan, but he thinks of himself more as a Stockholm syndrome Saints supporter. Either way, he loves playing and watching sports whenever he can.
At Loyola, Seán worked for The Maroon, the school’s award-winning student newspaper. As a reporter and editorialist, his work was recognized by the Associated Press Managing Editors Association, Society of Professional Journalists, Louisiana Press Association and Press Club of New Orleans.
When he’s not in the city, Seán is at the beach, hiking, or traveling with his wonderful mother and father and other loved ones.
