NEW ORLEANS — It takes planning to set up the perfect surprise proposal, but Krewe of Thoth member Matt Dawson had some help.
He got his krewemates and the driver to stop his float at the intersection of St. Charles and Washington Avenues where his girlfriend, Sarah Bailey was waiting.
Prodded to go up to the float, Bailey seems a bit surprised when Dawson got off of the float to present her with several beads, but the biggest surprise was yet to come - a ring!
Of course, like all good stories, it had to have a happy ending and she said 'yes,' to the delight of the crowd, who noticed quickly what was happening.
