Mardi Gras beads-for-doughnuts campaign returns

To secure your dozen glazed donuts, just bring in a dozen pounds of beads to the Krispy Kreme on Clearview Parkway in Metairie.

NEW ORLEANS — If you still have a lot of Mardi Gras beads laying around, you'll soon be able to cash them in for something sweet!

Krispy Kreme is once again partnering with the ARC of Greater New Orleans organization for their bead recycling program.

ARC employs disabled people to clean and sort the beads in order to sell them back to riders to toss again.
