When is Mardi Gras 2019?

Fat Tuesday is always set for the day before Ash Wednesday, which is always 46 days before Easter Sunday.

After an early carnival season in 2018, Mardi Gras 2019 is set for Tuesday, March 5.

Fat Tuesday is always set for the day before Ash Wednesday, which is 46 days before Easter Sunday.

According to Almanac.com, Easter will always fall on a Sunday between March 22 and April 25. That means Mardi Gras can fall between Feb. 4 and March 10 each year.

Even though you might have to wait until March for Endymion, Bacchus, Zulu and Rex, the first parades start rolling in January. The Krewe de Jeanne d'Arc is set to roll on Jan. 6. (By the way king cake fans, Jan. 6 is also Kings Day).
