During their lively, weekly get-together, the ladies are no holds-barred when it comes to everything from recipes to relationship advice.

NEW ORLEANS — WWL-TV is bringing spirit and sass to local television viewers with its original, half-hour special "Ya Mama N’em" airing Wednesday, April 8 at 6:30 p.m. on Channel 4.

"Ya Mama N’em" features author and award-winning journalist Monica Pierre along with authors and New Orleans School of Cooking’s “NOLA Grandmas” Anne Leonhard and Harriet Robin. These ladies bring you the charm, wisdom and unfiltered conversations only women “of a particular age” can.

During their lively, weekly get-together, the ladies are no holds-barred when it comes to everything from recipes to relationship advice. They show us what it really means to live out loud!

Monica, Anne and Harriet are insightful and bold New Orleans women who prove why everyone needs a little “Mama” in their life!

Ya Mama N’em is all about celebrating people, especially women, at every stage of life,” says the special’s Creator and Executive Producer Caegan Moore. “That’s what’s reflected in Ya Mama N’em through heart-warming lessons and light-hearted fun. These are some trying times. Hopefully, these ladies can bring everyone positivity and playfulness."

You can catch an encore airing of "Ya Mama N’em" on Sunday, April 12 at 6 p.m. on WUPL-My 54 (Cox 2, Charter 16).  The special will also be posted on WWL-TV's YouTube Channel.

This pilot is in production with Elephant Quilt Productions.
