JEFFERSON PARISH, La. — A Jefferson Parish band is helping its members stay on the right side of the law.

The "Band of Excellence" is the first group highlighted in a new Eyewitness Morning News series about good work being done in the community.

Current and former band members credit part of their success to the band's activism.

Good Work premieres on WWL-TV at 6:45 a.m. Monday.
