JEFFERSON, La. — A man is dead and two others were hurt in a shooting in Jefferson early Tuesday.

A spokesperson for the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office says the shooting happened around 12:20 a.m. in the 2800 block of Clermont Street. Three people who were reportedly shot inside an apartment were taken to the hospital where an unnamed 62-year-old man later died.

The JPSO said the other two unnamed victims, a 57-year-old man and 55-year-old woman, are in stable condition.

Authorities have not released any information about a motive or possible suspect in this shooting.
