LAROSE, La. — A Larose man has been charged with murder in the October 2022 overdose death of a 15-year-old girl, according to a press release from the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office.
In the early morning hours of October 27, 2022, LPSO sheriffs arrived at a Galliano residence in reference to a 16-year-old boy showing signs of an overdose. The boy was given two doses of Narcan and regained consciousness and was transported to a hospital.
Deputies later responded to another residence where a 15-year-old girl was found dead of a suspected overdose. The two incidents were related and detectives arrested Blayne Terrebonne, 19, of Larose as well as two others, who were all charged with drug distribution.
Investigators discovered the girl thought she had purchased a Percocet pill but it was actually pressed from pure fentanyl. Terrebonne was arrested on January 25 and booked into the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex on one count of second-degree murder.
His bail is set at $500,000.
