NEW ORLEANS — A 29-year-old man is in custody after another man was found gunned down in New Orleans' Treme neighborhood Thursday morning.

The New Orleans Police Department reports that Gerardo Bugallo-Beret was booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center on one count of second-degree murder.

An arrest warrant for Bugallo-Beret was issued after officers found a man lying in a parking lot in the 1900 block of St. Ann Street with several apparent gunshot wounds. 

Police have not yet released the victim's name. The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office will determine the official cause of death and release the man's name at a later time.
