NEW ORLEANS — Police say one man is dead after a shooting on Bienville Street in New Orleans late Monday night.
According to the New Orleans Police Department, the shooting happened around 11:16 p.m. in the 1400 block of Bienville Street. Officers arriving at the scene found an unidentified 31-year-old man with a gunshot wound. Police say the man died at the scene.
Investigators are still trying to determine a motive for the shooting as well as identify who was responsible.
The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s name and an official cause of death at a later time.
