NEW ORLEANS — A man was shot multiple times Friday night off of Airline Highway, New Orleans Police Department officials said.
The unidentified victim was reportedly in the 3400 block of Hamilton Street in Hollygrove, a block from the Mt. Rock Baptist Church, when he was shot several times across the body, according to initial NOPD reports.
After being hit, the 22-year-old was able to get to the hospital in a private vehicle, where staff took him in for treatment and notified police around 7:15 p.m.
Police opened an investigation into the attack and confirmed a shooting happened on Hamilton Street about an hour later, officials said.
The victim's condition was not listed and no further details were available.
