Two missing children may have been abducted by their mother, who is wanted for murder, Louisiana State Police said. The children may be in imminent danger.
The children, 9-year-old Mark Anthony Oates and 6-year-old Justin Lamar Oates, were last seen on surveillance video leaving the Hampton Inn in Laurel, Mississippi with their mother, 33-year-old Latina Marie Oates.
They were last seen in the early morning hours of March 17.
Mark was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt with the word ADIDAS in large white letters on the front. Justin was last seen wearing a black jacket and possibly black or dark blue pants.
After they left the hotel room where the boys and their mother were staying, an arrest warrant was issued for Latina Oates for first-degree murder.
Oates, an Ohio resident, is believed to be in the New Orleans area with the children.
She is driving a 2013 white Toyota Camry with an Ohio license plate with the number GGM 5978.
