NEW ORLEANS — A man was shot to death Monday morning in New Orleans East, police said. 

The overnight killing took place near the intersection of Crowder and Lake Forest boulevards just before 12:40 a.m.

NOPD officers responding to reports of a shooting found the male victim lying in the street at the intersection. 

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. On Wednesday, the Orleans Parish coroner identified him as 21-year-old Jamyes Davis. 

Investigators said they were still trying to determine who shot the man Monday morning. No potential motive has been determined, NOPD officials said.
