Two men are in critical condition after two separate shootings on Thanksgiving in New Orleans East.

According to NOPD, a 26-year-old man and an unidentified male were both wounded in separate shootings less than 15 minutes apart.

The first shooting occurred around 1:27 p.m. near the corner of Dwyer Road and WIlson Avenue where officers found the 26-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the head.

According to NOPD, the victim was taken to a hospital where he is currently listed in critical condition.

The second shooting occurred moments later, around 1:41 p.m. near the intersection of Chef Menteur Highway and Downman Road.

Police were called to the scene of a shooting in the area and found an unidentified male victim with multiple gunshot wounds by an apartment complex. The victim was taken to the hospital where he is listed in critical condition.

The investigation into both shootings is ongoing.
