NEW ORLEANS -- Paul Simon is bringing his farewell tour to New Orleans.
The "Homeward Bound" Tour will come to the Smoothie King Center on Sept. 5. Paul Simon will play music spanning his entire career, including his five albums as half of "Simon & Garfunkle."
The legendary singer-songwriter has more than dozens of chart topping hits including "Bridge Over Troubled Water," "50 Ways to Leave Your Lover," and "You Can Call Me Al."
“I’ve often wondered what it would feel like to reach the point where I'd consider bringing my performing career to a natural end. Now I know: it feels a little unsettling, a touch exhilarating and something of a relief," Simon said of ending his career. "I love making music, my voice is still strong, and my band is a tight, extraordinary group of gifted musicians. I think about music constantly. I am very grateful for a fulfilling career and, of course, most of all to the audiences who heard something in my music that touched their hearts.”
Tickets go on sale Saturday, March 17 at 10 a.m. on Ticketmaster and at the Smoothie King Center box office.
