NEW ORLEANS — BUKU has been postponed due to coronavirus concerns, the BUKU Project's twitter account said Thursday.

Tweeting a release, the organization behind BUKU Fest said New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell's office told them the event cannot take place during the weekend of March 21 as planned.

The organization is trying to reschedule the event over Labor Day weekend, the tweeted release said. Tickets that have already been purchased will be honored for the new BUKU Fest dates.

Multiple other events in the New Orleans area have been canceled because of coronavirus concerns.
