At least two homes damaged in Treme fire

Neighbors told WWL-TV reporter Jacqueline Quynh at least one of the damaged homes was abandoned.

NEW ORLEANS -- Flames damaged at least two homes in the Treme neighborhood Thursday afternoon.

The fire broke out around 3 p.m. in the 2400 block of Dumaine Street.

Officials have not said what started the fire, or if anyone was injured.

Neighbors told WWL-TV reporter Jacqueline Quynh at least one of the damaged homes was abandoned. They also said a Good Samaritan rescued someone from one of the burning homes.
