HARVEY, La. — The man found dead along with a woman in a Harvey apartment overnight was a multi-time felon from Washington State who was being sought in a home break-in and shooting in Seattle recently, according to court records and a report from Seattle television station KCPQ.
The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office confirmed that 27-year-old Cheston Isom was a fugitive from Washington State. He was found dead inside of an apartment in the 1500 block of Kings Road in Harvey Thursday night.
Responding officers also found 22-year-old Angenae Walker dead inside of the home with a gunshot wound. She was found on the second floor.
According to Q13Fox in Seattle, Isom was accused of terrorizing a couple and two kids in West Seattle in mid-December. The story says that Isom shot his way into the home and shot a man inside, who fought with him and then ran. The victim survived but has had several surgeries.
Isom was apparently on the run when officers responding to a shooting in Harvey found him and a woman dead inside.
Investigators say paramedics treated Isom at the scene but he ultimately died.
The JPSO said there is no motive or suspect information available as of Friday afternoon, but did ask for the public's assistance in locating a possible witness needed for questioning.
Anyone with information about the double murder is also asked to contact the JPSO Homicide Section at 504-364-5300. Residents can also call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111.
