Two people and pets rescued from two-alarm fire in Kenner

According to the City of Kenner Government Facebook page, the fire was reported around 10:20 p.m. at Harper's Ferry Apartments on Vintage Drive.

KENNER, La. – Firefighters rescued two people and their pets from a two-alarm fire at an apartment complex in Kenner Monday night.

According to the City of Kenner Government Facebook page, the fire was reported around 10:20 p.m. at Harper’s Ferry Apartments on Vintage Drive. Firefighters arriving at the scene found flames engulfing the first floor of the home.

The post says two people, three dogs and a cat were rescued from the building. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. The American Red Cross has been called to assist the displaced residents.
