Jefferson Parish officials will be changing the location for voters in Precinct 172 in Marrero for the December 8 election.
Voting for the precinct currently takes place at 455 St. Ann Street which is the Marrero-Ragusa Volunteer Fire Company Station 87. The precinct will be relocated to the Charles B. Odom, Sr. Service Center at 5001 Westbank Expressway for the Dec. 8, 2018 election, officials say. According to parish officials, the location change is due to repairs being made at the fire station.
The Odom Center also presently serves as the polling place for Precincts 174 and 182.
The location will be ratified at the Jefferson Parish Council Meeting on Dec. 5.
A Jefferson Parish staff member will be at the old location on Election Day to re-direct any voters to the alternate site.
