KENNER, La. -- Lee "Big Lee" Martin, the tow truck titan of Jefferson Parish, has been arrested and booked on an aggravated battery charge.
Lee, best known for his elaborate LSU yard display on Bonnabel Boulevard in Metairie, was booked into the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center Tuesday afternoon. He is accused of hitting Catherine Powell, 44, with his tow truck at a Kenner mobile home park on Nov. 19.
"The allegation itself is he that intentionally struck her with the rear of the tow truck," said Kenner Police Lt. Brian McGregor.

Police said Martin went to the trailer park to visit a friend.
"He heard a disturbance outside," McGregor said. "He exited the trailer that he was in. There was some altercation about the way he parked his truck."
WWL-TV spoke with Martin as U.S. Marshals, Louisiana State Police and Kenner police caught up with him in the 1000 block of Veterans Blvd where he was about noon Tuesday.
"I don't know what's going on, sir," Martin said. "I didn't hit anybody."
Martin previously boasted on social media, "I own Metairie. The police work for me."
Kenner police admit Powell was "highly intoxicated" at the time of the incident and wasn't able to completely articulate what happened.
She gave police a statement four days later and provided them with what appears to be a cellphone video of Martin's truck hitting her.
Powell is heard on the video saying, "He's hitting me. He is actually (expletive) driving into me. He's actually (expletive) hitting me, Mom."
Powell referred all questions about the incident to her attorney Corey Dunbar.
Dunbar told WWL-TV he would not comment on the facts and circumstances in the criminal case but was expected to file a civil action against Big Lee Towing.
