A man was arrested after he allegedly raped two underage victims, which led to them contracting a sexually transmitted disease.
According to a press release from the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office, detectives interviewed Travis Robertson, 34, of Eunice, after a victim under 12 years old reported that he had sex with her, and that she had tested positive for an STD.
Robertson denied touching the victim; however, DNA test results showed that he was positive for the same STD as his victim.
During the course of the first investigation, another victim under 14 years old reported that Robertson had sex with her. She was taken to the St. Landry Parish Health Unit, and tested positive for the same strand of STD as Robinson.
Robertson was arrested and charged with three counts of second-degree rape and sexual battery. Bond was set at $250,000.
