NEW ORLEANS — A man was shot Sunday at the New Orleans Lakefront Airport in New Orleans East Sunday, a spokesperson with the New Orleans Police Department said.
Initially, Police said the man was shot in the leg on Igor Sikorsky Drive in New Orleans East, but later, the address of the shooting was changed to the 7700 block of Hayne Boulevard, around a mile away.
Sending out a press release around 2:45 p.m., an NOPD spokesperson said officers were investigating the shooting.
Employees at the business in the airport said they saw NOPD units at the scene.
