A father was arrested in the Slidell area after shooting and injuring his son following an argument.
According to the Slidell Police Department, the shooting occurred Friday afternoon just before 4 p.m.
St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a disturbance at a home on Queen Anne Drive.
William Hubbard III, 57, and his son were arguing outside the home when the argument turned physical. Hubbard then went inside his home and returned with a shotgun, the sheriff’s office says.
Hubbard fired the shotgun, striking his on in the hand.
The victim was taken to an area hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening, according to the sheriff’s office.
Hubbard III was arrested and booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail on a charge of aggravated second degree battery.
