NEW ORLEANS – A man is dead after a shooting in New Orleans East Thursday afternoon.
According to the New Orleans Police Department, the shooting happened around 6:45 p.m. in the 4600 block of Lancelot Drive. Officers arriving at the scene found a man with a gunshot wound to the head and chest area.
Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene. The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will determine the official cause of death and release the man’s name at a later time.
