A Southwest Airlines flight from New Orleans was diverted to Pensacola after a mechanical issue with one of the plane's engines.
According to Southwest Airlines, the captain of Flight #3472, bound for Orlando, made the decision to divert the flight.
The plane landed safely in Pensacola at 9:40 a.m. according to a Southwest Airlines representative.
"Initial reports indicate there were no injuries among the 99 passengers and five crew members onboard," a release from the airline read. "We have notified the NTSB, and when authorized, we will be inspecting the aircraft to assess the damage."
