Twitter reacts to Drew Brees saying he's coming back

The Saints QB is coming back for another year, and fans were....well, excited is an understatement.

NEW ORLEANS — Drew Brees is BACK, BABY!

The Saints Quarterback posted on Instagram that he would return to the New Orleans Saints for the 2020 season, ending speculation that he would retire after 19 years with the NFL.

Wide Reciever Michael Thomas kicked off the excitement on Twitter, telling fans to cross Brees off the list of players without contracts ahead of the NFL's free agency period.

And Saints fans quickly took off, with countless exclamation marks and predictions of a 2020 Super Bowl win.

Others joked about the timing of the announcement.

Still more fans realized this likely wasn't good news for other Saints quarterbacks, namely Taysom Hill and Teddy Bridgewater, both of whom were possible replacements in a Brees retirement scenario.
