NEW ORLEANS — Foggy conditions briefly caused a ground stop Tuesday for all incoming flights at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport.
As of 11 a.m., the ground stop had been lifted and flights were arriving, the airport's official Twitter account shared.
"That's been the case all morning because of the foggy conditions," MSY spokesperson Erin Burns confirmed.
While departing flights were technically able to leave the airport, Burns said the halted arrivals caused delays with some outgoing flights because some of those flights rely on the incoming planes to disembark passengers, fuel up and fly back out.
