Dave Nussbaum - WWL-TV Morning Meteorologist

DENSE FOG ADVISORY until 9 AM for land areas, until Noon for coastal areas and lakes.

A warm front will move north of us today. We will be warm and humid with scattered showers and storms. Expect to see some sunshine at times, so high temperatures will climb into the lower 80s.  Tonight will be mostly cloudy with patchy dense fog and a few showers. Lows will be around 70.

Weekend Forecast: A strong cold front will move across the area by late Saturday Night. Expect mostly cloudy skies with scattered showers and storms. A few storms could be strong to severe ahead and along the front. SPC has us in a Marginal Risk (Level 1 of 5) for damaging winds and a few tornadoes.  It will be warm and humid with highs in the lower 80s. If you are planning on attending any parades plan for storms!  It is likely a squall line of strong to severe storms will move through during the evening with some gusty winds. This will impact the evening parades, so plan accordingly. Saturday Night will be mostly cloudy with a few stray showers. It will turn cooler with lows in the 50s.

Sunday will be a gorgeous day with plenty of sunshine, a breeze and low humidity. This will be perfect for all the parades! High temperatures will be around 70.

Next Week Outlook: Monday will be partly cloudy and dry with highs in the mid 60s. Rain returns on Tuesday and sticks around through Thursday when our next cold front moves through. We will be warmer with highs in the 70s. It looks like we dry out for Friday and Saturday, but some rain returns next Sunday. It may be pretty nice for the parades next weekend.
