Orleans
- UNO will shift Friday classes to online due to Hurricane Delta
Jefferson Parish
- Concordia Lutheran School in Marrero will be closed Friday
- Athlos Academy of Jefferson Parish will have early dismissal Friday
Lafourche Parish
- Nicholls State University will shift classes online Thursday, October 8 and close campus buildings at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. All classes will continue virtually through Friday.
- All schools and offices of the Lafourche Parish School Board will be closed October 9
St. Charles Parish
- Public schools doing remote learning Friday, physical buildings closed
St. John the Baptist Parish
- St. John public schools will be closed Friday
- St. Charles Catholic High will be closed Friday
Terrebonne Parish
- Terrebonne public schools will be closed Friday
- All Catholic schools in the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux will be closed to in-person instruction on Friday. Parents and students are to refer to their school’s communication system for specific information on adapted virtual learning assignments, as well as for any other changes to scheduling.
Baton Rouge
- LSU will be closed Friday
