NEW ORLEANS —
Eye on Tropics:
Hurricane Epsilon continues to get better organized and now has a eye showing up on satellite. Conditions will remain favorable for it to maintain hurricane status through Saturday as it brushes by Bermuda Thursday and Friday before it turns NE and goes out to sea. Then it will become an extratropical system as it races NE over the cooler north Atlantic water. This is not a threat to the Gulf of Mexico.
The tropical wave we've been mentioning since last week now has a 0% chance for development. This will send moisture our way, increasing our chance for rain especially on Friday.
Elsewhere...the rest of the tropics will stay quiet for the next 5 days.
