Tropical Storm Epsilon is the 26th named storm of the 2020 Hurricane Season

Also watching a tropical wave moving into the Gulf

NEW ORLEANS —

Eye on Tropics:

Epsilon will remain in the Atlantic as it slowly moves toward Bermuda, likely remaining east of the island and eventually getting picked up and sent off into the North Atlantic, never affecting land. The tropical wave we've been mentioning since last week now has a 0% chance for development in the next 2 days and 10% in 3 to 5 days. This will send moisture our way, increasing rain chances for Friday. The GFS has the system attempting to develop in the Bay of Campeche next week, whereas the Euro does not. Really getting too late in the season for any real tropical threats for us.

Elsewhere...the rest of the tropics will stay quiet for the next 5 days.
