Tuesday through Thursday will have a mix of sun and clouds each day with a daily chance for scattered showers and storms as some deeper tropical moisture starts surging toward Louisiana. Some heavy rain is possible. Daily highs will be in the upper 80s and lows in the 60s/70s north to south. Rain totals could be around 1-2"+ during this time.
Looking ahead to the Memorial Day Weekend, get ready for a soggy one. The forecast models are NOT in agreement with what may happen, but they are trending for a possible heavy rain event. They show an area of low pressure moving up from the Caribbean into the Central Gulf. The GFS model has a weak low and takes it into Florida. The Euro takes this low and makes it a little stronger and moves it into the TX/LA border by Monday with a heavy rain event for SE Louisiana. Needless to say, I will keep an eye on it and I will have a better idea of how wet the weekend will be later this week.
