NEW ORLEANS — This week we are saying 'bye to Barry and hello again, heat.

That will be the main weather topic for the rest of this week as high pressure nudges back over us from the east.

No tropical development is expected this week.

Northshore rivers will start falling today and Wednesday. Flooding is not forecast.

The Mississippi River at New Orleans is back to 16 feet and is forecast to continue steady near 16 feet through Saturday. On July 27, it is forecast to finally drop to 15.5 feet, which is the trigger point to begin closing the Bonnet Carre Spillway.
