Alexandra Cranford - WWL-TV Meteorologist

Monday starts chilly in the 40s with partly cloudy skies and perhaps a little patchy fog in spots.

We'll continue with a mix of clouds and sunshine through the day. Temperatures will be able to warm to around 60 for afternoon highs.

Tuesday looks similar with a chilly morning and a slightly warmer afternoon in the 60s.

Showers and a few thunderstorms return during the day Wednesday as low pressure moves in from the west. This system doesn't look too strong - severe weather is not expected, and rain amounts should be less than an inch for most spots.

A few showers could linger into Thursday ahead of our next hit of colder air Thursday night into Friday. This cool-down will be fairly brief, followed by milder weather for the end of the coming weekend.
