NEW ORLEANS — Severe weather is coming to our area tonight, bringing strong winds, thunder storms and the risk of tornadoes.

The main concerns are damaging wind gusts up to 75 mph and possibly a few strong tornadoes. The hail and flooding risk look rather low.

The live stream above will be updated with the latest radar, models, timing and forecasts for each area as the line of storms approaches and we get new information.

The Northshore is under a level 4 risk for severe weather and the southshore is under a level 3 risk for severe weather. Severe weather can happen at all risk levels, so everyone should have severe weather plans ready to use later today. If you live in a mobile home/trailer plan to spend the late afternoon/evening somewhere else.
