Luxury cars, 6 guns and almost $45,000 recovered in drug bust, state police say

Police found a Corvette, Jaguar, Porsche and Mercedes along with several illegal narcotics, according to LSP.

NEW ORLEANS -- Three men are in jail after State Police say a drug bust uncovered almost $45,000 in illegal drug proceeds, numerous guns and luxury vehicles.

Officials said three search warrants were executed Tuesday during an investigation that began in April.

State Police said during the search, they found nearly $45,000 in illegal drug proceeds as well as:

- A stolen C.N. Romarm 7.62x39 rifle, a Norinco 7.62x39 rifle, a Glock 17, a Glock 23, a Taurus .25, a AR-15 pistol

- Approximately 8.51 ounces of powder cocaine, approx. 14.18 ounces crack cocaine, approx. 4.53 ounces of heroin, approx.17.18 grams of marijuana, various tablets including Zolpidem, MDMA and Adderall

- A stolen 2008 Suzuki street bike, 2001 Porsche Cayenne, 2014 Mercedes CL550, 2016 Chevrolet Corvette, and a 2010 Jaguar convertible.

Troopers said they arrested Phillip Johnson, 38, Clyde Johnson, 43, and Corey Maurice, 41.

The men are booked on various drug and gun charges.
