ST. CHARLES PARISH, La. — Here’s the latest information on power, curfew, water and more for St. Charles Parish. Save this link and check back for updates if you live in St. Charles Parish.

The boil water advisory for St. Charles Parish has been lifted, officials said.

"Water samples from each treatment plant were collected and analyzed by the Louisiana Department of Health and were determined to be negative for contaminants and safe to drink," a statement from St. Charles Parish officials said. The boil water advisory was put into effect on August 29 after power was lost at both treatment plants due to Hurricane Ida.

 For an emergency, call 9-1-1.

FEMA is at the St. Rose Library (90 East Club Drive) to help residents apply for assistance until 4 p.m. 

HOT MEALS, ICE, WATER

Second Harvest Food distribution opens at 11am today at Hahnville High at 200 Tiger Dr, Boutte, LA.

Water, ice, and Meals Ready-to-Eat (MRE) are available for residents from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. until further notice at these locations:

Cox Communications will begin providing more than 1,000 hot meals to storm-impacted individuals who live in St. Charles Parish communities  

  • Beginning at 11 a.m. Tuesday Sept. 14 at St. Gertrude Catholic Church, 17292 Hwy 631, Des Allemands
  • On Thursday, Sept. 16 meals will be served for lunch in Ama at Mount Zion Baptist Church, located at 10867 River Road

WATER

► Boil Water Advisory: A parish-wide boil water advisory is in effect until further notice.

If you plan to consume tap water, you must boil it for at least 1 minute

The curfew has been lifted in St. Charles Parish effective around 1 p.m. Monday.

SCHOOLS

All schools in St. Charles Parish are closed until further notice.

GARBAGE PICKUP

Remember, when staking debris please separate piles into Household Garbage, Construction Debris, Household Hazardous Waste, 'White' Goods, Electronics. 

Also, please refrain from stacking debris near gas meters, water meters, fire hydrants or AT&T boxes. Trucks picking up debris could potentially damage equipment if debris is in these areas.
