NEW ORLEANS — Eleanor Tabone is a reporter for WWL-TV, joining the team in June of 2022.

Eleanor is originally from Melbourne, Australia. Her career started in newspapers; from there, she moved to radio and then became a producer for an Australian TV network. After that, her TV reporting career began. In Australia, she covered everything from wildfires to crime. Suited up on the fire ground, watching fires roll in, devastating homes and properties. To working alongside police during major drug busts.

In 2019, she decided to take a risk, leaving her family and moving to America to pursue her reporting career. Starting at our sister station in the Midwest, she then moved to South Carolina, finally landing in New Orleans.

Eleanor studied at the University of Cincinnati and completed her degree back home, graduating with a BA in journalism.

When Eleanor isn’t sitting at her desk typing up a story, you can find her out walking her two-year-old Dalmatian or drinking a margarita…. Or both.

if you have a story to pass along to him, you can reach her at etabone@wwltv.com
