Baton Rouge dancer who performed with Hollywood stars has died at 31

He performed with stars like Christina Aguilera, Demi Lovato, Sam Smith and the Rockettes, The Advocate said, quoting his biography.

BATON ROUGE, La. — Sean Viator, an established dancer and choreographer from Baton Rouge who performed with some of Hollywood's biggest stars on celebrity awards and network music concerts has died, his family announced in an obituary in a story from our news partner, The Advocate of Baton Rouge

Viator went to high school in Baton Rouge and also polished his dancing skills at the De Frances Academy of Dance.

Viator went to the University of Arizona and studied fine arts in dance and was a top graduate, winning the university's top award, according to his online biography.

Viator though performed with top singers and celebrities on shows like "American Idol" and "The Billboard Music Awards."

He performed with stars like Christina Aguilera, Demi Lovato, Sam Smith and the Rockettes, The Advocate said, quoting his biography. 

Viator appeared on some streaming hits, like Amazon Prime's "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel."

"He was such a light," Jin Lee, the director of operations at Los Angeles' Millennium Dance Complex, where Viator was on the faculty. "He was always smiling. Sean was such a hardworker," she told The Advocate. 

A celebration of life ceremony for Viator will be held Friday at the Resthaven Funeral Home in Baton Rouge. Visiting hours will be from 12:30 p.m. until the service at 2:30 p.m.

According to Viator's obituary, He danced on stage in Vegas for Jubilee at Bally's and Showstoppers at the Wynn. He also did a charity performance called One Drop, at the Mirage with Cirque du Soleil.
