MARRERO – The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office is looking for a man they say shot and killed his ex-wife’s new boyfriend.
Dionicio Ibarra, 55, is being sought for second-degree murder in the death of 34-year-old Isauro Guerrero. The sheriff's office said the suspect's children told them Guerrero was their mother's new boyfriend.
According to the sheriff’s office, Ibarra shot Guerrero just before 10 p.m. Friday in the 4100 block of Ames Blvd.
The spokesman said Guerrero was shot in the back. Deputies say Ibarra left the crime scene driving his son’s Chevrolet Avalanche with a Mississippi license plate number: FS9664.
